  • $15.00, you will receive your choice of a poetry book.
  • $25.00 or more, you will receive both of the poetry books shown below.
  • $35.00 or more you will receive both books and a set of postcards created from prisoners' envelope art.

Adopt a Prisoner

$20 a year allows us to provide a prisoner a full complement of our programs and services. This includes 2 newsletters, 2 history lessons, 1 book club selection, writing and poetry compilations, art instruction and coaching, math instruction, and a personalized package of donated books. Your $20 gift can provide a prisoner with the opportunity to educate his/her self, improve communication skills, and use time productively. If you read a sampling of the testimonials, you will realize the great dividends gained by reaching in behind prison walls and offering prisoners an opportunity to join a community focused on positive work and personal growth.

The library is a tax exempt organization. Anyone receiving books or cards for the stated donations cannot claim the donation for an income tax deduction. Donations that are not given in exchange for gifts are tax deductible. Any amount in addition to the $35.00 is tax deductible.
